Boy Genius has gotten its hands on some pictures of the upcoming AT&T HTC Status. The Facebook-centric handset is essentially an AT&T-branded version of the HTC ChaCha with a much sexier name (Hit up the source link for a look at the Status from behind).
The phone will have a 2.6” 480 x 320 display, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, VGA forward-facing camera, and come sporting Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread as well as a dedicated Facebook button to help you update your status in a jiffy and mobile stalk all your friends and neighbors on the site.
I’m still not entirely sold on the idea that there is actually a need for a Facebook-centric phone in the first place. What do you guys think? Would you use a dedicated Facebook button on your smartphone if one was available? Anyone looking forward to picking up a Status?
